As most of you, I was also in lot of tussle before coming to decision to opt this phone.
Honor 6X and Moto G5 plus were close contenders before I chose to take risk with Nubia Z11 mini S.
Styling - It looks very close to iphone. Curves, antenna lines, display and bezel almost everything is similar. If you ignore red breath light(which is actually classy) it feels like iphone.
Battery Backup - On higher side, I used mobile only to take pics. (without sim) I took more than 500 pics and several videos in 2 days, and there was only 40% battery consumption. Still it had 60% left after 2 days.
Fast Charging - It does charges fast but it doesn't mean it has fast charging. Charging time can be in between fast charging and normal slow charging range.
NFC - Big confusion with NFC as few reviews say it is there and few says it doesn't have NFC. I didn't find NFC option on my device. Somewhere I feel mostly NFC is cut down for Indian version (maybe)
OS & Software - It is simple and straight forward OS. Pretty clean. On downside you don't have any bloatware which you may simple not use it ever. Infact whatever apps and features mobile have it, you will definitely use it. With software, I felt there is no Non-sense features at all. Still there could have been few more handy features like of other chinese competitors.
Display - Absolutely stunning. Run FHD videos from youtube, you can clearly feel display is almost to AMOLED class. It can get very bright as well.
Sound - Sound effect on Headphones in beyond words, you feel bass to the core. Run "Major Lazer & DJ Snake - Lean On" to test the bass n clarity, it just excels. At the same time, it lags on regular speaker. It is not loud at all. Only major miss I see in this device.
Finally, About Camera which will make you fall in love with it.
Camera - On daylight camera is the best compare to many of flagship devices. Even the front shooter with f2.0 and 13MP gets much better pictures in comparison to Redmi Note 4 main camera. But on low light camera takes pics close to reality but we all are used to extra light filling in photos from all other mobiles, so definitely we will conclude as its under-performer in low light. In reality it captures very detail pics and has negligible noise, but it just don't make you extra fair to suit for fair and lovely ad ;) so causing disappointment to many of us.
Camera modes - All modes are very practical, easy to use and sensible as well. Timelapse videos and clone pics are amazing and it is just few minutes job to get very crisp output. Only mode which may disappoint you is Slow-motion video, as once you transfer this video on laptop it looses that slow motion effect.
Camera stability - Sony IMX318 lens has built-in electronic stability feature which you can evidently see on results. To put it in picture, out of 500 pics clicked only 20 to 25 are bit blurred out and missed focus (Rest all pics you can make even big posters, it gets so much details into every pic) Also, not even a single pic which is totally unusable. First time ever I found that all pics taken from the mobile device are usable.
Photo Editing - Editing tool is very easy to use and has all needed filters and effects as of any other smartphone. Beauty effects to enhance your face features works impressively well.
Comparison:
Honor 6X (my friend brought it) - Nubia's front camera is far far better from Honor 6X, on rear camera also Nubia excels in clarity but Honor 6x gets more vibrant colours but still I feel Nubia pics are much better. Furthermore, Honor 6X gives you much more bloatware and handy features like dock menu, one-hand use option etc.
Moto G5 plus - Aperture F1.7 surely gives good pictures. But moto image processing software fills more colour saturation to the pics where Nubia pics are close to reality. I personally corp the pics highly to get best frame from the actual pics. You cant zoom and corp pics to high extend for the pics taken in Moto, where as in Nubia you can zoom in and corp the pics and still retain highest quality.
On Conclusion, my main intention to upgrade my mobile was to get better camera. Nubia Z11 mini S is more than perfect choice for me. About UI and software, I felt the device as No Non-Sense smartphone as you have many handy features which are more precise and intelligent; also not overdoing features which will remain untouched forever. I have listed down the phone capabilities(mainly camera), and you can decide as per
your requirements. I'm very much happy with camera, design and display, also crave for more features and few bloatware apps.
